Description: Devdaru, commonly known as Deodar or Himalayan Cedar, is a large evergreen tree that can grow up to 40-60 meters in height. It has a conical shape with spreading branches and needle-like leaves that are bluish-green. The tree produces barrel-shaped cones, and its bark is thick and dark brown, with longitudinal cracks.

Occurrence: Devdaru is native to the Western Himalayas in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. It is commonly found at altitudes ranging from 1,500 to 3,200 meters in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir. The tree prefers well-drained, sandy loam soils and thrives in temperate climates.
