Dosage

125 to 250mg to be taken in the morning and evening or as directed by the physician.

Indication

High blood pressure, heart weakness, emesis etc.

Muktashukti Pishti

Ingredients

  • Moti (Mukta) Pearl
  • Rose Water

Dosage

Adult : mg to 500 mg.

Children : /4 of the adult dose with Madhu.

The dosage of Praval Pisthi (coral calcium) is 125 mg to 500 mg twice or thrice a day. The maximum dosage of prawal pisthi should not exceed from 2500 mg per day.

Precaution

Taking Praval pishti at a prescribed dose might be safe. However, eating in larger amounts is not advisable. Below are precautions that need to be followed:

  • People should not use Praval pishti to self-medicate on their own. It is essential to take a doctor’s advice and have it if prescribed. 
  • Pregnant and lactating women must consult Ayurvedic doctors before having Praval pishti to avoid any complications.

Akik Pishti

Indication

Indicated in indigestion, stomach, colic, loss of appetite etc and problems related to burning micturition and free flow of urine etc.

Precaution

  • It is better to avoid in children, pregnant and lactating mothers.
  • Take this medicine only in prescribed dosage for certain duration only.
  • Over-dosage may cause poisonous side effects. It should be stored in a cool and dry place.

Bol Parpati

Ingredients

Bol Commiphora myrrha, Kajjali ( Shudh Parad and Shudh Gandhak or black sulphide of mercury)

Dosage

125 mg-250 mg once or twice a day before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor. It is traditionally administered along with honey and sugar.

Indication

  • Rakta pitta – bleeding disorders
  • Rakta pradara – menorrhagia
  • Guda sruthi – bleeding piles
  • Vatarakta – rheumatoid arthritis

Precaution

Yava kshara

Ingredients

It is also used as ingredient in many medicines. Yava kshara alkali preparation made with whole plant of barley (botanical name – Hordeum vulgare).Here barley – whole plant is dried, burnt in open air, ash is added with water, left over night. Sedimented portion is discarded and decanted clear liquid is filtered many times.After getting a clear liquid, it is heated and the solid powder which is leftover at the bottom of the vessel is called as Yavakshara.

Dosage

125-500 mg twice a day before the meals or as described by a physician.

Indication

Urinary Coolent, Blood in Urine.

Panchamrit Parpati

The dosage of Kaharva Pishti is 125 mg to 500 mg twice or thrice a day or as recommended by the physician.

  • Bleeding from nose

Ingredients

Dill seeds, licorice, Kushta, Tagara, sandalwood, and ghee.

Dosage

1-2 grams of powder.

Indication

Deepen (appetizer), pachan (digestive), shoolahara (pain reliever), netrarogahara (treat eye-diseases), vranahara (wound healing), adhmanahara (anti-flatulent), kasahara (anti-cough)

Precaution

  • Excessive use of Shatapushpa can lead to an increase in Pitta.
  • You may feel a burning sensation in your stomach after taking an excess of Shatapushpa.
  • If you are menstruating, avoid taking this herb during your periods.
