Classical ayurveda medicines- Bhasma

Bhasmas in Ayurveda are unique formulations that involve the incineration and calcination of metals, minerals, or herbs to create fine powders. These powders, known as bhasmas, are then used in Ayurvedic medicine for their therapeutic properties. It’s important to note that the preparation and use of bhasmas should be done under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner, as incorrect preparation or dosage can be harmful.

Here are some general insights into the use of bhasmas in Ayurveda:

  1. Swarna Bhasma (Gold Bhasma):

    • Usage: Swarna Bhasma is believed to have rejuvenating properties and is traditionally used for promoting vitality and overall well-being.

It’s crucial to reiterate that the use of bhasmas should only be done under the supervision and guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.
